Welcome to the website of Petra van der Heide, Principal harpist of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. As an orchestra harpist and teacher at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, she gives special masterclasses or trainings for orchestral auditions, the socalled ‘Auditietraining’ since 2003. Also private intensive lessons in auditiontraining are one of the possibilities, not only for harpists, but for all young professionals preparing for orchestra auditions.

The winner of the Audition training will usually be invited to play with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra as a substitute. It is also possible to come and listen to orchestra rehearsals with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra during the season when famous orchestra audition parts will be rehearsed.
